Wakeboard Competition 

This event is an awesome way for participants to show their talents and for residents/visitors to get a glimpse at this wild sport.

Water Ski Wakeboard Alberta (WSWA) will be hosting the Water Festival Wakeboarding Competition on the North side of the Lake.

Pre-register for the Wakeboard Competition. 

  • To register

  • To become a member

  • Register online or day of event

    • $40 active single/family membership.

    • Event member $5 - First timer in an event, does not include WSWS  WSWC insurance 

  • Registration begins at 9:00 am at WSWA tent on the boardwalk 

  • Please note, the north side of the Lake is closed during the competition. Residents on the north side please remain along the shoreline when on the lake.

EPCOR Kids Fun Zone

EPCOR has partnered with us over the years to provide a fun, creative space for children to explore and run wild. This year is no different.

This years activities include:  ​

  • Foam Pit 

  • Kate's Face Painting 

  • Kiddie Striker 

  • Pirate Mini Golf 

  • Pirate Obstacle Course 

  • Super Slide 

  • Toddler Bouncy House 

  • Captain Jack performance: 1:30 p.m.

Chestermere Parks and Rec. will be running their Mobile Adventure Playground again at Anniversary Park!

The playground is full of unique items to build with, take a part, climb on and explore.

This program is FREE and all ages are welcome.

Our Food Truck Line will be located in John Peake Park from 11 a.m. onward.

Lake Tours

Dockside Bar & Grill will be hosting Lake Tours from 12-4 p.m with the last ride departing at 3:00 p.m. Each boat tour is an interactive look into Chestermere Lake.  


Tickets are $10 a ride.

Departure location is at 109 E Chestermere Dr. 

Please arrive early to ensure smooth sailings.

Beer Gardens

This year's beer garden will be hosted by our local Chestermere Lions Club. You can find the gardens at John Peake Park until 11:00 p.m. 

  • White wine and beer will be served at the Beer Gardens.

  • Bar closes at 10:00 pm and the gardens closes at 11:00 pm. 

  • No minors allowed, 18 years of age and must provide two pieces of identification if requested for proof of age.

Music Showcase

Featuring the Dirt Road Angels

Our summer headliner this year is the Dirt Road Angels. The country Edmonton based seasoned singer-songwriters and "soul sisters", consisting of Dahlia Wakefield, Karen Claypool, Danita Lynn, and Shila Marie who came together and formed the group in 2013. Since their conception, they have released three albums, 8 singles to the Canadian Country Radio and, to top it off, thier latest album "Extra Dirty" went #1 in Europe. 

These Angels will be flying high this July as our closing act of the evening. 

1:30 PM - 11:00 PM


Spectacular fireworks will commence after the last performance of the evening. The fireworks will be lit from our floating barge on the north side of the lake. You can view the reflective show from the pavilion stage, the beer garden and along any part of the pedestrian walkway located outside City Hall. 

We ask all boaters to remain o the south side of the lake for safety reasons. 

A friendly reminder that parking will be limited at John Peake Park.
